Myrtilla  파키베리아 ‘미르틸라’

A US hybrid.

미국 교배종, 교배자는 알려져 있지 않음.

Distributed in Australia and Asian countries as Echeveria 'Violescens'.

호주와 아시아 국가에서 에케베리아 ‘비올레센스’로 유통되고 있다.

In “Echeveria Cultivars” Schulz and Kapitany write that E. ‘Violescens should be E. gibbiflora ‘Violescens’, “a selected form of the species” (p. 178). This is a serious mistake. A plant of E. gibbiflora ‘Violescens’ would grow an inflorescence characteristic for the species E. gibbiflora. The plant in question, E. ‘Violescens’, has a very different flower stalk and a different type of flowers as can be seen on the CD of Bev Spiller. Obviously E. ‘Violescens’ is not E. gibbiflora ‘Violescens’, that means it is not a species but a hybrid. But the plant is definitely not an Echeveria hybrid - the inflorescence and the flowers indicate that a Pachyphytum is involved in the crossing.

In order to avoid confusion with Echeveria gibbiflora 'Violescens' the hybrid has to be renamed. The new name is xPachyveria 'Myrtilla'.

슐츠와 카피타니는 “Echeveria Cultivars” 도감에서, 에케베리아 ‘비올레센스’는  “원종으로 선정된 폼”인(178쪽) E. 기비플로라 ‘비올레센스’임이 틀림없다고 기술하고 있다. 이것은 심각한 오류이다. E. 기비플로라 ‘비올레센스’라는 식물은 E. 기비플로라 종의 꽃차례(화서) 특성을 보여주며 성장할 것이다. 의혹의 대상이 되는 식물인 E. ‘비올레센스’는  베브 스필러의 CD에서 볼 수 있듯이 꽃대와 꽃의 형태가 매우 다르다.  E. ‘비올레센스’는 명백히 E. 기비플로라 ‘비올레센스’가 아니다. 즉 원종이 아니고 교배종임을 의미한다.  하지만  이 식물은 엄밀히 말해 에케베리아 교배종이 아니다.  꽃차례와 꽃이 파키피툼 속과의 (속간) 교배종임을 나타낸다.

E. 기비플로라 ‘비올레센스’와의 혼동을 피하기 위해서 E. 비올레센스라는 교배종에 새로운 이름을 붙여야 한다. 새로운 이름은 파키베리아 ‘미르틸라’이다.

On page 123 "Echeveria Cultivars" illustrates a spontaneous mutation of E. gibbiflora 'Violescens', named by Jocelyn Ainsworth as Echeveria 'Jocelyn's Joy'. Again, this is not a mutation of the species E. gibbiflora 'Violescens' but of the hybrid E. 'Violescens' - from now on xPachyveria 'Myrtilla'. Which means that 'Jocelyn's Joy' is also a xPachyveria.

“Echeveria Cultivars” 도감 123쪽에는 조셀린 아인스워스에 의해 에케베리아 ‘조셀린스 조이’로 이름이 붙여진  E. 기비플로라 ‘비올레센스’의  자연돌연변이의 삽화가 있다.  다시 말해 이 식물은  원종인 E. 기비플로라 ‘비올레센스’의 돌변변이가 아니라, (속간) 교배종인 E. ‘비올레센스’(지금부터는 파키베리아 ‘미르틸라’)의 돌연변이이다. 이것은 ‘조셀린스 조이’ 역시 파키베리아임을 의미한다.
