 Distribution : SE Mexico (Hidalgo, Oaxaca, Chiapas, Veracruz); epiphytic, 1200 m.

 

Description by 't Hart & Bleij in IHSP, 2003 :

Perennial subshrubs to 1 m tall with angled stems with prominent ridges.

Leaves alternate, oblanceolate or obovate, rounded, petiolate, 14 - 71 x 6 - 31 mm.

Flowering branches pendulous.

Inflorescences lax elongate panicles, pedicels 1 - 5.6 mm .

Flowers 5-merous, sepals basally free, unequal, elliptic-oblong or oblanceolate-elliptic, acute, green, 4.4 - 12.4 x 1.4 - 2.9 mm, spreading, petals lanceolate, acute, mucronate, pale green,  ± 8 mm, spreading, anthers yellow.

 

Cytology : 2n = 48.
