Distribution : E Tibet, China (W Sichuan); forests forest margins, rocks and gravel in valleys, 3500 - 4200 m.

 

Description (by 't Hart & Bleij in IHSP, 2003) :

Perennial herbs with small sterile shoots.

Leaves alternate, imbricate, lanceolate to oblong, acuminate, broadly spurred.

Flowering branches usually simple, 3 - 8 cm.

Flowers 5-merous, sepals basally free, shortly spurred, unequal, acuminate, 4 - 5 mm, petals oblong, shortly acuminate, yellowish, 5 - 8 mm.
