Distribution : Central Mexico

 

Differs from ssp. jurgensenii :

 

Leaves strongly ascending, imbricate, narrowly triangular-ovate or upper leaves triangular-lanceolate, subterete, sharply acute or subacuminate.

 

Flowers : Sepals slenderly acute or subacuminate, petals narrowly acute.

 

Cytology : n = 23

 

Best distinguished from ssp. jurgensenii on accout of the strongly ascending and imbricate leaves.
