Synonym : Sedum boninense  Yamamoto ex Tuyama (1936)

 

Distribution : Japan (Bonin Islands [= Ogasawara Islands])

 

 

Description (by 't Hart & Bleij in IHSP, 2003) :

 

Differs from ssp. uniflorum :

 

Subterranean tubers present.

 

Leaves linear-elliptic to linear-obovate, 4 - 8 mm.

 

Inflorescences : Flowering branches erect; inflorescences cymes with 3 cincinni.

Note :

In an article on the Sedum species of  the Bonin Islands, Japan, Ito et.al. conisder Sedum boninense to deserve the rank of a species and describe a new species, S. mukojimense from the same region, up to now thought to  be a variant of S. boninense
