Distribution : South-eastern Tibet, China (North-western Yunnan), rock crevices, 2200 - 2300 m.

 

 

Description (according to IHSP, 2003) :

 

Differs from ssp. multicaule :

 

Stems thick, bark basally rugose when dry.

 

Leaves ovate, narrowly oblong in the upper stem parts.

 

Inflorescences : Flowering branches without subsidiary inflorescence ; inflorescences cincinni forked. 

Flowers : Sepals sublanceolate to narrowly semi-oblong, petals unequal in length.
