Distribution : China (Anhui, Jiangsu, Zhejiang); shady moist rocks in open places,  ± 200 m.

 

 

Description (by 't Hart & Bleij in IHSP, 2003) :

 

Perennial herbs with slender suberect stems 2 – 4 cm tall.

 

Leaves opposite or in whorls of 3-4, broadly linear or lanceolate, subobtuse, broadly spurred, 6 – 11 mm.

 

Flowering branches several, suberect, simple, 8 – 12 cm.

 

Inflorescences large cymes with 2 or 3 sometimes forked cincinni, bracts suboblong, obtuse, ±  5 mm.

 

Flowers 5-merous, sepals broadly sessile, almost equal, suboblong, obtuse, ± 2.5 mm, petals free at the base, lanceolate, mucronate, subunguiculate, yellow, ± 5 mm, nectar scales subquadrate, flat, styles long, fruits divergent, inflated, seeds small, subovoid, probably reticulate-papillose.
