FAUCONNETII Reuter, 1861
Distribution : Jura Mountains.
Said to be a hybrid of Sempervivum arachnoideum x S. tectorum. Interestingly, one of the parents, namely S. arachnoideum, is not (or no longer) present in the area where it occurs. Chromosome counts (2n = 68) suggest that it is an allopolyploid and should therefore be treated nomenclaturally as a species, with no hybrid sign.
