Description (according to U. Eggli in IHSP, 2003) :
Very similar to T. minutiflora, but roots not thickened.
Rosette short-stemmed to 7 cm, with 15 - 25 flat ± perennial leaves.
Leaves elliptic-oblong, 5 - 9 x 1.8 - 3 cm, thick, smooth, glaucous when young, flat or ventrally channelled.
Inforescences thyrses, 23 - 46 cm, with 32 - 70 cincinni.
Cytology : 2n = 26
According to Myron Kimnach probably not distinguishable from T. minutiflora.
