Description (according to IHSP, 2003) :

 

Roots not described.

 

Rosette 5 – 8 cm in diameter, solitary or rarely offsetting, ± compact, stemless or with a stem to 2 cm, completely glabrous.

 

Leaves pinkish-white to pinkish-bronce, young ± glaucous, strongly spatulate, 3 – 4 (-5) x 1 – 2 cm, broadest 4 – 10 mm below tip, upper face ± flat, tip cuspidate, 2 – 3 mm, margins rounded.

 

Inflorescences 11 – 16 (-25) cm, suberect, ± glaucous, cincinni ± 5 mm, pedicels 1 – 4 mm.

 

Flowers : Sepals subequal, free, 3 x 1 mm, petals spreading or reflexed from the middle, 5 x 2.25 – 2.75 mm.

 

Closely related to T. minutiflora.

 

Collected by Alfred Lau in the 1970’s at San Miguel Maninaltepec, Oaxaca, Mexico.
