Description (according to IHSP, 2003) :
Dwarf succulent geophytes with a subterranean tuberous base.
Roots succulent, fusiform.
Branches to 10 x 7 mm, glabrous, without phyllopodia.
Leaves usually 1 (-4 in cultivation), orbicular, 5 – 8 cm in diameter, concave, cordate at the base and shortly petiolate, glandular-hairy, lower face purplish, petiole channeled.
Inflorescences erect spreading thyrses, 15 – 35 cm, consisting of 2 – 4 monochasia each with 5 – 10 erect to spreading flowers.
Flower : Corolla tubular, to 13 mm, slightly widening towards the throat, pale yellowish-green with short hairs on the inside, lobes 6 -7 mm, recurved.

Géophyte naine succulente avec base tubéreuse souterraine.
Racines succulentes, fusiformes.
Branches jusqu'à 10 x 7 mm, glabres, sans phyllopodia.
Feuilles habituellement 1 (-4 en culture), orbiculaires, 5 – 8 cm de diamètre, concaves, cordées à la base et brièvement pétiolées, avec poils glandulifères, dessous violacé, pétiole canaliculé.
Inflorescences en thyrses érigés-écartés, 15 – 35 cm, consistant en 2 – 4 monochasia, chacun portant 5 – 10 fleurs dressées à écartées.
Fleurs : Corolle tubulaire, atteignant 13 mm, s'élargissant légèrement vers la gorge, vert jaunâtre pâle avec courts poils à l'intérieur, pétales 6 -7 mm, recourbés.
