Etym: Named for the horticulturist Brian M. Lamb, who first described and illustrated this taxon, then replaced with the name of its original author, Volker Voggenreiter.

T: Photo in Lamb, Canary Island succulents, Cactus and Succulent Journal (US) 39(3): 95. (May-Jun) 1967. [cited in the protologue on p.317]. Autotype (Art. 9.1). The only included original element.

Obs: A specimen TFC 37.971 was gathered by Bañares in Apr 1993. It is labelled as holotype, but the replaced synonym already has a type, which automatically becomes the type of the replacement Aeonium ×voggenreiteri, in accordance with Art. 7.4.
