Distribution : Peru (Cajamarca, Cuzco, La Libertad, Lima); rocky slopes, 2000 - 3500 m.

 

 

Description (according to IHSP, 2003) :

 

Herbs.

 

Roots fibrous.

 

Stems basally somewhat decumbent, then ascending, branching mostly above 1/2, rarely unbranched.

 

Flowering stems 5 - 9 cm, sterile stems 0.4 - 2 cm.

 

Leaves elongate-ovate, somewhat obtuse, with an obtuse spur, 3.3 - 7.5 x 1.5 – 2.8 mm.

 

Inflorescences very lax spikes, few-flowered, 1.5 - 2.5 cm, pedicels very short.

 

Flowers : Sepals ovate-oblong, somewhat obtuse, spurred, 4.7 - 6.5 x 2.2 - 2.8 mm, petals dorsally keeled, 4.85 mm, greenish, tube 12 mm, lobes probably erect, broadly ovate, ± obtuse, subapically aristate, 3.65 x 2.6 mm.
