Description :

Perennial plant.

Stems prostrate, up to 20 cm long, hairy, not or only very sparsely branched with short branches.

Leaves opposite, distant, elongate-lanceolate, acuminate, dorsiventrally glabrous but with marginal cilia, ventrally pitted (a few big dots), dorsally convex and pitted (numerous small dots) to be seen with a lens.

Inflorescences terminal cymes of 3 - 5 flowers, pedicels of the lowest flowers twice as long as the flower, pedicels of flowers higher up much shorter.

Flowers 4 - 5 merous, sepals lanceolate, ciliate, half as long as the petals, petals ovate, obtuse, spreading with a subapiculate appendage, white, carpels with very short styles.
