Distribution : SA (Eastern Cape); Valley Bushveld in dry river valleys.

 

 

Differs from var. perfoliata :

 

Leaves distinctly falcate, densely covered with rounded to often irregualrly shaped papillae, green to grey, sometimes with purple spots.

 

Flowers : Corolla 7 mm long, red, pink or rarely white.

 

Flowering time : Mid-summer.

 

Cytology : 2n = 14

Distribution : Afrique du Sud (Cap-Oriental) ; vallées de rivières asséchées du bushveld (maquis).

 

 

Différences par rapport à la var. perfoliata :

 

Feuilles nettement en forme de faux, habituellement glauques.

 

Fleurs : Corolle de 7 mm de long, rouge, rose ou rarement blanche.

 

Période de floraison : Milieu d'été.

 

Cytologie : 2n = 14
