Synonyms : Umbilicus pallidiflorus  Holmboe (1914) / Rosularia pallidiflora  (Holmboe) Meikle, 1977

 

Distribution : Northern Cyprus and southern coastal Turkey, growing from sea level to 1400 m.

 

 

Description (according to U. Eggli in IHSP, 2003) :

Caudex small or none, taproots to 7 mm in diameter.

Rosettes flattish, 2.5 - 7 cm in diameter, solitary or clump-forming with subsessile offsets.

Leaves oblong-spatulate with rounded apex, 2.3 - 3.2 cm, slightly fleshy, medium green (dark brown when dry), glabrous or with scattered glandular hairs, margin whitish-horny, finely denticulate, or glandular-hairy.

Inflorescences compact or lax ovoid lateral thyrses, 6 - 12 cm, upper 1/2, glandular-hairy.

Flowers 5-merous, semiglobular to urceolate, glandular-hairy, petals 4 - 7 mm, united for 2/5 – 3/5, yeIlowish-white or white.
