Synonym : Rosularia sessiliflora  Jansson (1966)

 

Distribution : Afghanistan, adjacent eastern Iran, 750 - 2000 m.

 

 

Description (according to IHSP, 2003) :

 

Caudex consisting of thickened taproots and lower stem axis, 3 - 7 mm in diameter and several cm long.

 

Rosettes flattish, 1.5 - 4 cm in diameter, solitary or offsetting.

 

Leaves broadly or rarely linearly spatulate with rounded apex, 1 - 2.5 cm with narrow base, bluish-green but not glaucous, glabrous, margin rarely whitish-horny, otherwise laxly to densely ciliate.

 

Inflorescences lateral racemose thyrses, 4 - 13 cm, upper 1/2 glandular-hairy.

 

FLowers 5-merous, 5 - 6 mm, ± urceolate, outside glandular-hairy, petals united for 1/3 – 2/3 slightly fleshy, dirty whitish to pinkish.
