Section Rosularia

 

Distribution : Widespread from Western Asia to Iran and the Caucasus; on various substrates.

 

The infraspecific classification here adopted follows Eggli (1988), but has to be treated as rather informal, and intermediates between the various named segregates are not infrequently encountered.

Only a large-scale biosystematic study can bring more light into the intricate relationships within this geographically widespread taxon.
