Distribution : Southern Turkey, western Syria, Lebanon, Western Jordania, Israel; to 2000m.
Description (according to U. Eggli in IHSP, 2003) :
Rosette flattish or with ± semierect leaves, 2.5 - 9 cm in diameter, offsets sessile or 2 - 3 cm stalked.
Leaves oblong-truncate to spatulate with round or emarginate apex, fresh green, never glaucous, 2 - 4 cm, densely glandular-hairy and with resinous scent, margin glandular or slightly denticulate.
Inflorescences lateral, 10 - 20 cm.
Flowers 7 - 10 mm, funnel-shaped and opening ± widely, petals pale pink with slightly darker venation.
Cytology : 2n = 18
Reminiscent of ssp. pestalorzae, but readily distinguished by its larger and more widely opening flowers. R. kesrouanensis is tentatively included here as a synonym; it is only known from the type and seems to represent a diminutive form of this taxon.
