Rosularia

reginae Eggli, 1988

= Rosularia x reginae

Section Rosularia

Description (according to IHSP, 2003) :

Rosette solitary, to 7 cm in diameter, flattish.

Leaves spreading with upturned tips, richly blue-green, farinose.

Inflorescences terminal, erect or weakly semi-erect, to 15 cm.

This attractive taxon is intermediate between its supposed parents R. globulariifolia and R. sempervivum ssp. glaucophylla, except for the solitary rosettes with the terminal inflorescence. It appears to come true from seed (which forms by self-pollination), which casts some doubt on its proposed hybrid status.
