Distribution : Russia (central Asia, Siberia).

 

 

Description (according to IHSP, 2003) :

 

Rootstock thickened.

 

Flowering stems ± 20 cm taIl, glabrous.

 

Leaves altemate, sessile, narrowly obovate to oblanceolate, 2.5 - 3 x 0.7 - 1 cm, glabrous, tip acute, base attenuate, margins irregularly and remotely crenate.

 

Inflorescence terminal, globose, dense, many-flowered, 2.5 - 3 cm long.

 

Flowers pedicellate, sepals triangular, 1.2 - 1.5 mm, petals reddish, lanceolate to oblong-lanceolate, 4 - 4.5 mm, erect, stamens 4.3 – 4.8 mm, anthers purplish (?).

 

Flowering time : Autumn.
