Distribution : Japan (Shodo Island).

 

 

Description (by H. Ohba in IHSP, 2003) :

 

Flowering stems ascending or pendulous, 15.- 30 cm, with short rootstock.

 

Leaves in whorls of 3, obovate to fan-shaped, 1 - 1.5 x 1.3 - 2 cm, greenish-white, glaucous, tip round, base broadly cuneate, margins with few low undulating serrations.

 

Inflorescences corymb-like, globose.

 

Flowers : Sepals triangular-ovate, ± 1 mm, petals pink, elliptic to oblanceolate, ± 4 mm.

 

Flowering time : October to November.

 

Cytology : 2n = 50 (Nakata 1996)
