Distribution : Taiwan (Mt. Morrison).

 

 

Description (by H.Ohba in IHSP, 2003) :

 

Rootstocks short, woody.

 

Flowering stems 10 - 14 cm, erect.

 

Leaves alternate, sessile, oblong-ovate to ovate or obovate, 1.5 - 2.8 x 1 - 2 cm, glabrous, tip rounded, base abruptly attenuate or cuneate, margins shallowly and coarsely crenate to nearly entire.

 

Inflorescences terminal, globose.

 

Flowers : Sepals linear, ± 2 mm, petals white, oblanceolate to broadly oblanceolate, 6 - 7 mm, stamens longer than the petals, anthers red.

 

Flowering time : July to August.
