Distribution : Europe; mainly south-western part of the range of the species.

 

 

Description (according to IHSP, 2003) :

 

Rosettes 1.5 - 3.5 cm in diameter, somewhat flatly depressed, cobwebby hairs usually abundant, disappearing in autumn / winter.

 

Leaves broader towards tip than in the typical ssp.

 

Cytology : 2n = 64 (32)
