DAVISII ssp. FURSEORUM (Muirhead) Karaer, 2011

Synonym : Sempervivum furseorum  Muirhead (1969)

Distribution : Turkey (confined to NE Anatolia - Trabzon and Rize provinces); igneous rocky slopes, 1200 - 2800 m.

 

Description (according to 't Hart, Bleij & Zonneveld in IHSP, 2003) :

Rosettes 3 - 4 cm in diameter.

Leaves obovate to oblong-spatulate, apiculate, grey-green with purple tips, spreading, 25 - 35 x  ± 7 mm, unequally pubescent, margins shortly and densely ciliate.

Flowers 12- to 13-merous, ± 2.5 cm in diameter, sepals linear-lanceolate, acute, ca 4 mm long, petals recurved, shortly glandular-pubescent ventrally, whitish-green, ± 12 x ± 1 mm, filaments white, anthers yellow.

Flowering time : July - August.
