Distribution : Southern France (Auverne), central and southern Italy.
Description (according to IHSP, 2003) :
Leaves shortly glandular-pubescent.
Turrill identified material collected in southern Italy (Monte Tirone) as S. marmoreum. These plants have a chromosome number of 2n = 72, however, and thus belong to S. tectorum.
