Distribution : Tibet, China (western Szechuan).
Differs from the other ssp.:
Leaves in whorls of ± 6 at 1 or 2 nodes of flowering stems.
Flowers : Sepals linear, papillate, base triangular-ovate, to 3.7 - 4.5 x 1.2 – 1.5 mm.
The subspecific epithet was originally spelled 'sexifolia' .
