Listed in Hortus Third, 1976 as hybrid of E. purpusorum x E. spec.: "Glabrous, rosettes dense, sessile, leaves many, oblong, to 2 in. long, short-acuminate, dark green, flower stem 1 ft., cincinni 1 - 2, loose, corolla nearly urceolate, red with yellow tip."

Listed in Exotica 1985, described as : “Dense rosette of thick fleshy, glossy olive green, flattened leaves with edge and tapering point reddish; flowers reddish-orange”.
