Rosularia

SEMPERVIVUM ssp. AMANENSIS  Eggli, 1987

Distribution : South-eastern coastal Turkey.

 

 

Description (according to U. Eggli in IHSP, 2003) :

 

Rosettes flat, 4 - 8 cm in diameter, with offsets stalked 2 – 5 cm.

 

Leaves narrowly oblong-spatulate, 2.5 - 5.5 cm with a long basal 'claw' 1 - 3 mm broad, suddenly widening near the rounded apex, dark green, never glaucous, densely glandular-hairy and with strong resinous scent.

 

Inflorescences lateral thyrses to 30 cm, often decumbent, drooping when young.

 

Flowers 5-merous, 7 - 8 mm, slender-tubular; petals united for 1/2 white or pale pink, with greenish or rarely pinkish venation.

Cytology : 2n = 36
