Synonyms :

Distribution : USA (California: southern South Coast); sandstone terraces, to 250 m, threatened.

 

 

Differs from ssp. blochmaniae :

 

Stems oblong, 15 - 35 x 1 - 6 mm.

 

Rosettes with 5 - 15 leaves.

 

Leaves spatulate, 7 - 15 x 2 - 7 mm.

 

Inflorescence: Bracts triangular-ovate to somewhat orbicular, 2.5 - 10 x 2.5 - 8 (-10) mm.

 

Cytology : n = 17

 

Forms intersubgeneric natural hybrids with D. edulis (Moran 1950).
