Madiba

A chance hybrid originated in the nursery of Paco Serrano. It was found amongst seedlings of E. lilacina but it is uncertain whether the latter is the mother. The father is completely unknown and impossible to guess.

It was Paco Serrano who named the hybrid - for Nelson Mandela : ‘Madiba’ is / was the nickname of Nelson Mandela.
