Description (by E. van Jaarsveld in IHSP, 2003) :

 

Variable, decumbent, well branched, to 15 cm tall.

 

Branches grey with peeling bark, 3 – 8 mm in diameter (young 2 – 4 mm in diameter, grey to purplish green).

 

Leaves 1 – 3.5 x 0.8 -2.4 cm, very easily caducous, dorsiventrally compressed, ovate, oblanceolate to broadly elliptic, grey with purplish spots and flaking wax, upper face flat to convex, lower face convex, margin horny in the upper ½ , base cuneate, apex obtuse to acute.

 

Inflorescences to 25 cm with 1- to 2-flowered cymes, buds acute, pedicels 2 – 3 mm.

 

Flowers : Sepals to 2.5 mm, corolla 9 – 13 x 2 mm, tube greenish-brown, throat glabrous or rarely with some club-shaped hairs, petals broadly triangular, to 3.5 mm, white or tinged pink, cuspidate, anthers shortly excerted.

Distribution : Afrique du Sud (Cap-Occidental).

 

 

Description (par E. van Jaarsveld dans IHSP, 2003) :

 

Plante variable, rampante et bien ramifiée, atteignant 15 cm de haut.

 

Branches grises avec écorce pelant, 3 – 8 mm de diamètre (2 – 4 mm de diamètre pour les jeunes, grises à vert violacé).

 

Feuilles 1 – 3,5 x 0,8 -2,4 cm, très facilement caduques, de section ovale, oblancéolées à largement elliptiques, grises avec taches violacées et cire s'écaillant, face supérieure plate à convexe, face inférieure convexe, marge cornée dans la moitié supérieure, base cunée, apex obtus à aigu.

 

Inflorescence de 25 cm avec des cymes d'une à deux fleurs, boutons aigus, pédicelles 2 – 3 mm.

 

Fleurs : Sépales de 2,5 mm, corolle 9 – 13 x 2 mm, tube marron-verdâtre, gorge glabre ou rarement munie de poils en forme de massues, pétales largement triangulaires, de 3,5 mm, blancs ou teintés de rose, cuspidés, anthères dépassant brièvement.
