xPachyveria

Puzzle

Origin and parentage unknown.

Rosette with apple-green, very succulent leaves, about 13 cm in diameter, leaves up to 6 cm long, 2,5 cm wide and 1 cm thick; flowers red to yellowish-green.

The very thick sepals as well as the shape of the inflorescence suggest that a Pachyphytum is one of the parents of this hybrid. The other parent(s) is (are) not known - the plant may be a multigeneric hybrid. For the time being we call it a xPachyveria.

In Australia this plant is known as xPachyveria ‘Paradoxa’, but as the name ‘Paradoxa’ belongs to an old hybrid by Pierre Gossot, this plant had to be re-named.
