Distribution : Eastern Turkey, adjacent northern Iraq.

 

 

Description (according to 't Hart in IHSP, 2003) :

 

Caudex absent but with ± thickened taproots.

 

Rosettes semiglobular, 1 - 3.5 cm in diameter, fairly compact, clump-forming, offsets shortly stalked.

 

Leaves ovate-oblong to spatulate with rounded apex, 0.8 - 1.6 cm, fairly succulent, dull medium green, glabrous or laxly glandular-hairy, margin hairy.

 

Inflorescences lateral racemose thyrses, (1- to) 4- to 17-flowered, 3 -10 cm, upper half ± glandular-hairy.

 

FIowers 1 - 1.5 cm or shorter, slender funnel-shaped to almost tubular with reflexed petal tips, outer parts glandular-hairy, petals united for 1/3, greenish-yellow to ivory, often with purplish venation, apex aristate.

 

Cytology : 2n = ±104
