Distribution : Taiwan, mountains, 300 – 2500 m.

 

 

Description (by 't Hart & Bleij in Illustrated Handbook of Succulent Plants, 2003) :

 

Glabrous annual herbs with erect, simple or di- (tri-)chotomously forked stems.

 

Leaves alternate, occasionally opposite, spatulate, 8 – 27 x 4 – 11 mm, rounded or obtuse.

 

Flowering branches erect.

 

Inflorescences cymose.

 

Flowers 5-merous, sessile, sepals basally free, unequal, spatulate or oblanceolate or linear-oblanceolate, base cuneate, 2.4 - 4.5 x 2 – 3 mm, subdivergent, petals elongate-oblong or lanceolate, acuminate, somewhat cuneate at the base, 4 x 1.5 mm, yellow, nectar scales rectangular to almost square, fruit stellately patent, seed very small, elongate-oblong.
