Description (by 't Hart & Bleij in IHSP, 2003) :
Perennial herbs with decumbent and rooting densely leafy shoots, 3 – 5 cm long.
Leaves suborbicular or obovate, obtuse or rounded, long petiolate, mamillate, 5 – 25 mm.
Flowering branches to 9 cm tall.
Inflorescences dense corymbs, partly covered by the uppermost leaves, bracts leaf-like.
Flowers 5-merous, sepals broadly sessile, oblanceolate, subobtuse, mamillate at the tip, ± 5 mm, petals free at the base, lanceolate, obtuse, yellow, 7 – 8 mm, styles long, nectar scales linear-subspatulate, rounded, thick, reddish, fruits erect, connate for 3 mm, seeds subovoid, reticulate.
