Description (according to U. Eggli in IHSP, 2003) :
Differs from the closely related S. rhodocarpum :
Stems, leaves, sepals and petals pubescent.
Leaves rounded, dark green.
Flowers : Petals pale green with dense reddish speckles below the middle.
