Distribution : Taiwan (Taipeh, Nantou, Taitung, Hualien); mountains, 1700 – 3000 m.

 

 

Description (by 't Hart & Bleij in Illustrated Handbook of Succulent Plants, 2003) :

 

Perennial or annual herbs with decumbent, then ascending stems, laxly branched above, 10 – 20 cm long.

 

Leaves alternate, oblong, oblanceolate or spatulate, obtuse, cuneate at the base, 20 – 25 x 5 mm.

 

Inflorescences lax cymes with  ± 2 cincinni.

 

Flowers 5-merous, sessile, sepals broadly sessile, slightly unequal, triangular, acute, ± 1.5 x 0.5 mm, petals linear-lanceolate, acuminate, yellow, ± 6 mm, anthers yellow, nectar scales retuse, fruits coriaceous.

 

 

Fu & Fu (1984) gave S. parvisepalum as a synonym but regarded S. triangulosepalum and S. truncatistigmum as distinct species.
