PORPHYRANTHES   Reyes, Brachet & González, 2008

First description in Cactaceas y Suculentas Mexicanas 53(3): 68-75, ills., 2000.

Re-classified as Villadia porphyrantha in Meyrán, Las Crasuláceas de Mexico, vol. II, p. 34, 2019. Whether this will be accepted is somewhat doubtful in view of the fact that the extremely similar S. mesoamericanum is still considered a Sedum species and not a Villadia.
