Distribution : China (S Qinghai, W Sichuan); alpine meadows, bare places, 4300 – 4600 m.

 

 

Description (by 't Hart & Bleij in IHSP, 2003) :

 

Small annual herbs, divaricately branched at the base, 2 – 4 cm tall.

 

Leaves alternate, oblong, obtuse, shortly spurred, 3 – 5 mm.

 

Inflorescences broad many-flowered corymbs, bracts broadly lanceolate, 3 – 4 mm.

 

Flowers 5-merous, usually long-pedicellate, sepals broadly sessile, broadly lanceolate, subacute, ± 3 mm, widely spreading, petals slightly connate at the broad base, lanceolate, obtuse, white, ± 4 mm, nectar scales linear-spatulate, obtuse, styles short, fruit slightly divergent, few-seeded, seeds subovoid, reticulate-papillose.
