Description (by 't Hart & Bleij in IHSP, 2003) :
Perennial herbs with non-flowering shoots to 20 cm.
Leaves alternate, opposite or in whorls of 3, rather spaced, narrowly oblanceolate to linear-oblanceolate, obtuse to acute, shortly spurred, fleshy but flat, 25 – 40 x 3 – 5 mm.
Flowering branches decumbent, then ascending to suberect.
Inflorescences lax many-flowered cymes, ususally with forked cincinni, primary axes to 4 cm, bracts leaf-like but smaller, pedicels 2 -4 mm, mamillate.
Flowers 5-merous, sepals basally free, unequal, linear, rounded to obtuse, rather thick, 4.5 – 7 x 0.9 - 1.5 mm, petals basally connate for up to 1.5 mm, yellow, 7.5 – 9 mm, anthers yellow, nectar scales narrowly oblong to linear, truncate to roundend, styles to 1.8 mm.
"This species is apparently related to Sedum multicaule Wall. ex. Lindl., but differs from the latter in having 1) free sepals with a round or obtuse apex, 2) slightly connate petals, 3) ovaries connate 1.5 – 1.8 mm from the base, and 4) longer leaves" (Ohba, 1978).
