Etym: Named for the magistrate Ignacio Rocha Fernández.

T: Islas Canarias, Tenerife, vicinity of Teno Alto, along the road PR-TF 51, through the Altos de Baracán, 850 m., 18 Aug 2019, Octavio Arango Toro.

HT: TFC 53.344.

IT: LPA: 38602.

Obs: Parentage based on Aeonium urbicum (Hornem.) Webb & Berthel. ssp. meridionale Bañares. As Greenovia millennium has no subspecies, the lowest available rank for this taxon is that of species (Art. H.5.2).
