Distribution : SA (Northern Cape, Western Cape); Succulent Karoo, shade of rocks.

Description (by E. van Jaarsveld in IHSP 2003) :

Erect dwarf green glabrous annuals to 10 cm taIl. 

Roots fibrous.

Leaves 6 - 15 x 3 - 6 mm, elliptic to obovate, sessile, upper 2 leaf-pairs below the inflorescences crowded and with very short internodes, lamina constricted towards the base, tip obtuse.

Inflorescences thyrses with up to 3 dichasia, pedicels short to long, thread-like.

FIowers 5-merous, sepals lanceolate, to 1 mm, corolla cup-shaped, white, petals oblong, to 1 mm, acute, anthers yellow.

Flowering time : Spring.

Cytology : 2n = 16

Distribution : Afrique du Sud (Cap-Nord, Cap-Occidental) ; Karoo succulent, à l'ombre des rochers.

Description (par E. van Jaarsveld, IHSP 2003) :

Plante annuelle naine, verte, glabre, dressée, atteignant 10 cm de haut. 

Racines fibreuses.

Feuilles 6 - 15 x 3 - 6 mm, elliptiques à obovales, sessiles, les 2 paires de feuilles sous l'inflorescence étant groupées (très courts entre-nœuds), limbe resserré vers la base, extrémité obtuse.

Inflorescences en thyrses portant jusqu'à 3 dichasia, pédicelles courts ou longs, filiformes.

Fleurs pentamères, sépales lancéolés, jusqu'à 1 mm, corolle en forme de coupe, blanche, pétales oblongs, jusqu'à 1 mm, aigus, anthères jaunes.

Période de floraison : Printemps.

Cytologie : 2n = 16
