Crassula

Pagoda Village

A cultivar of Crassula capitella ssp. thyrsiflora; listed in Abbey Garden cacti & succulent catalogue: 5, 35, 1979 and described as follows :

“Crassula ‘Pagoda Village’ – Imagine a two-inch tall Japanese pagoda colored a striking dark reddish-green and you’ll know what this one looks like. It also has the undesirable Crassula habit of bolting and looking leggy but the cure is to snip off the ends of the branches and re-root them – sharing the extra treasures with your friends.”

The author of the name is unknown.

Crassula capitella ssp. thyrsiflora is a variable species, consequently the cultivar 'Pagoda Village' is also variable.
