Synonym : Dudleya attenuata ssp. typica Moran (1943)

 

 

Distribution : Mexico (Northern Baja Califomia); near coasts.

 

 

Description (according to IHSP, 2003) :

 

Stems usually erect, often elongate, to 15 cm x 3 - 10 mm, branched.

 

Rosettes ± 5 - 15, mostly densely arranged, 2 - 5 (-10) cm in diameter.

 

Leaves linear-oblanceolate, acute, terete except the base or somewhat compressed, 2 - 10 cm x 2 - 5 mm, young farinose-glaucous.

 

Inflorescence : Scape 7 - 25 cm, reddish-glaucous; inflorescence usually with 1 - 3 simple scorpioid branches, these 2 – 10 cm, with 3 - 15 flowers which are often > 1 cm distant from each other, pedicels 0.5 - 3 (to > 5) mm.

 

Flowers : Calyx 2 – 5 mm, sepals triangular-ovate to oblong-ovate, acute, usually 1 - 2.5 mm, petals basally erect, elliptic, spreading from near the middle (rarely from the base), acute, 4 – 8 x 1.5 - 3 mm, yellow, red-lineate, tube 0.5 - 2.5 mm, anthers yellow, rarely red.
