Distribution : USA (California: Region of the San Francisco Bay, Inner South Coast Ranges); rocks, slopes, 30 - 1200 m.

 

 

Differs from ssp. cymosa :

 

Stems 1 - 2 cm in diameter.

 

Rosettes mostly few.

 

Leaves oblong-oblanceolate, 3 - 10 x 0.5 - 2 cm, glaucous.

 

Inflorescence : Scape 5 - 20 cm, inflorescence with 2 - 3 scorpioid branches, these 1 - 2x branched, 1 - 5 cm, with 4 - 10 flowers, pedicels (3-) 6 - 12 mm.

 

Flowers : Petals 1.5 - 2.5 mm wide, pale yellow.
