First published in Madroño 63(4): 359-365. 2016.
Dudleya hendrixii is similar to D. blochmaniae ssp. blochmaniae and D. attenuata ssp. orcuttii. It differs from the former in having fewer, terete, more upright and waxier leaves and from the latter in being summer deciduous, acaulescent and having much shorter inflorescences. It is endemic to a small area of Colonet Mesa (Baja California, Mexico).
