Note

1. The distribution indicated by Kimnach in Illustrated Handbook of Succulent Plants, 113, 2003, as “Guerrero : Petatlan - Chilapa; Michoacan : Uruapan ?” is not correct. The specimen of the plant collected between Petatlan and Chilapa only consists of a bifurcate inflorescence and does not allow a clear assignment, and the specimens of Uruapan represent E. obtusifolia.

2. Charles Uhl (Haseltonia 9, 2002) : „This species is similar to E. fulgens but differs in its thicker leaves”, i.e. it is debatable whether E. grisea should be classified as a distinct species.
