First described by E. Walther as Echeveria ‘Haageana’, 1933, renamed and redescribed by J. van Keppel in Nat. Cact.& Succ. Journal 21: 55. 1966,.

A hybrid by Charles Uhl with the same parentage is circulating under the name Echeveria 'Powdered Sugar', a name probably never validly published. In any case the name  E. 'Graessneri' has priority.
