Distribution : W Iran; dry, stony slopes, 1650 - 1800 m.

 

Description (according to 't Hart & V.V.Byalt in IHSP; 2003) :

Rhizome thick with persistent old stems, ending in a thick simple root, 2 - 4 x ± 1 cm in diameter.

Leaves linear to narrowly lanceolate, broadening towards the base, 5 - 12 x 2 - 2 mm.

Flowering branches 2 to many, 15 - 25 cm.

Inflorescences dense, corymbiform, flattened, pedicels 2 - 6 mm.

Flowers : Sepals oblong-ovate, obtuse, 3 - 5 mm, corolla tubular or campanulate, 13 - 15 mm long, petals 6.5 - 7. 5 mm, pink. 

Flowering time : April to May.
